About The Internship

At SAFTECH ACADEMY, our internships are designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world skills. We provide guided mentorship and hands-on project work that makes you industry-ready.

Our Physical Design Internship is designed to give engineering students a strong foundation in VLSI backend design, where theory meets industry practice. Over 4 weekend sessions (3 hrs each), students will explore how complex circuits are transformed into manufacturable chip layouts.

Overview of ASIC Design Flow (RTL → GDSII)
Fundamentals of Floor planning, Placement, and Routing
Basics of Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS) and timing concepts
Introduction to Power Planning, IR Drop & Signal Integrity
Industry-standard Signoff checks (DRC, LVS, Timing Closure)
